Meine Kunstwerke sind um ein zentrales Konzept aufgebaut, das die visuelle Umsetzung bestimmt. Für mich ist es wichtig, dass diese dahinter liegende Idee transparent bleibt. Ein gutes Kunstwerk muss einen kommunikativen Prozess mit dem Rezipienten in Gang setzen: die Arbeit wird vom Betrachter gelesen und kann mit den persönlichen Erfahrungen verknüpft werden. Ich sehe meine Arbeiten als Startpunkt zur Kommunikation mit dem Betrachter, die aktive Teilnahme und Diskussion fordert.

Die Themen meiner Arbeiten sind verbunden mit diesem Verständnis von Kunst und behandeln die beeinflussenden Prozesse der zwischenmenschlichen Kommunikation. Ich untersuche wie und warum wir mit den Mitteln der Kontrolle, Macht, Manipulation oder Verführung die Meinungen oder Gedanken Anderer beeinflussen wollen.

My artworks have a central concept inherited that determines the visual outcome of the piece. It is important for me that this idea is transparent. A good work has to start a communication with the one who is watching it. The visitor „reads“ the work by creating connections to his own experiences. I see my work as a starting point of a communicative process that need active involvement and discussions from the viewer.

The topics in my artworks are linked to this understanding of art: I often choose topics that are dealing with the influential process between people within a communicative process. I investigate on how and why we are trying to change others peoples minds, thoughts or opinions with control, power, manipulation or seduction.
