syncroMind Installation mit Video, 2000
  
 

syncroMind ist die Fiktion einer neuen Technik, die es ermöglicht, die eigenen Gedanken mit denen einer anderen Person zusammenschließen. Jeder der beiden Benutzer denkt zur gleichen Zeit das Selbe. Erinnerungen, Erfahrungen und auch Stimmungen fließen zusammen und ergeben für beide Personen eine gänzlich neue Gedankenwelt.

Ein Implantat im Kopf ermöglicht die Verbindung mit dem Gedankenpartner. Die Steuerung der Übertragung erfolgt über eine kleine Fernbedienung, die in den Modellvarianten "standard", "heart", "flower" und "cat" erhältlich ist.

syncroMind is the fiction of a new thechnology that is able to link the thoughts of two people. Both of them think the same at the same time. Memories, experiences and moods are joined and result in a new thought for both of the users.

A head implant enables the connection with a partner and a small remote control allows to regulate the connection. The remote is available in either "standard", "heart", "flower" or "cat" version.

Eine Alltagssituation in einer von der syncroMind-Technologie bestimmten Zukunft wird im Video syncroMind thoughts beschrieben. Eine Frau und ein Mann beschliessen, ihre Gedanken zu verbinden. Dennoch bleibt man an banalen Dingen hängen und auch wenn zwei Personen die Gedanken formen, grübelt man über die gleichen Probleme nach.
An every-day-situation in the syncroMind future is shown in the video syncroMind thoughts. A man and a woman are experiencing a thought connection. Although two people are forming the new notion, they stick to trivial things and meditate about the same problems.

Die Interviews beleuchten das Projekt noch einmal von einer anderen Seite. Die Antworten auf die Frage: "Würden Sie diese Technologie verwenden und in welchen Situationen?" zeigt verschiedene Wünsche und Hoffnungen nicht nur in diese sondern ganz allgemein in jede neue Technologie auf.
The video syncroMind Interviews gives another view on this topic as it asks people "How would you use this technology and in which situation?". It shows peoples' desires and hopes not only for this invention but on technological inventions in general.

syncroMind - connecting people
Das Projekt "syncroMind" wurde in Zuge einer Einzelausstellung in der Galerie 5020 in Salzburg vom 3. Mai bis 15. Juni 2000 gezeigt. Die Aufteilung der Galerieräume gestattete die Präsentation eines Videos pro Raum.
The project "syncroMind" was shown at the Gallerie 5020 in Salzburg from May 3 to June 15 2000. The room arrangement of the gallery made it possible to show the work in three parts with one part in each room.
